    Joel Hodgson, creator of the enduring cult hit Mystery Science Theater 3000 will present his one-man keynote address entitled “Riffing Myself” on Sat, Dec 22 at 8PM followed by an MST3K episode of Joel’s choosing, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

    Joel will survey his lifelong endeavors to entertain people in new and inventive ways, and how those efforts, along with a host of diverse influences, led to the invention of the comedic art form of movie riffing. The presentation will also feature photos, videos, documents and notebook pages from Joel’s personal collection, illustrating some rarely seen projects and the creative process that helps brings them to fruition. A question and answer session will follow. After the presentation there will be a brief intermission followed by a screening of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
