Pet Valu Collects Food with Campout for Hunger
November 26-November 30, 2012
Radio personalities, Preston and Steve from 93.3 WMMR help struggling families put food on their tables through their Campout for Hunger. This year, Pet Valu will be on location, in partner with Philadoptables, generating awareness, and collecting pet food and supplies especially for the shelters and pet owners of our local impoverished families. Pet Valu is working hard to restore hope for these families by lessening the burden for pet owners who need supplies to properly care for, and provide a healthy life for their furry companions. Help our four-legged friends and the people who own them, by donating leashes and collars so pets can be safely walked, toys for training and stimulating playful and social lives, beds and coats to keep warm, canned and dry food, or monetary donations to help shelters purchases supplies most needed. It’s all a part of Preston and Steve’s Campout for Hunger Campaign. The morning radio hosts will spend the week of Monday November 26th in the parking lot of the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting. They’ll broadcast, eat, and sleep on site. It’s a 24/7 commitment, all in the name of raising money for the city’s hungry. Pet Valu plans on joining them and they will have their very own trailer and donation center to collect supplies. All supplies donated through Pet Valu will benefit Philadoptables, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the Philadelphia Animal Control Shelter. Help Pet Valu make a difference in the lives of people and animals this holiday season. Individual Pet Valu stores make it easy to support animal shelters too. While shopping for your pet, drop an item or two in the collection box next to the door on your way out! For stores nearest to you, visit http://us.petvalu.com/. Founded in 1976, Pet Valu offers holistic pet foods, high quality toys, and accessories, and provides expert advice on nutritional matters. The company has more than 400 stores throughout the United States and Canada.
