Director Steef P.M. Meyknecht worked for three years as a volunteer at the Veerhuis Hospice in Amsterdam, which provides end-of-life care for senior citizens. In this film, he gives the audience an unblinking, empathic look at a time of life often hidden from view. After the film, Dr. Nora Jones, Penn Medical Ethics & Health Policy, engages audience members in a discussion about the marginality of the terminally ill, and the place of death in society. Cosponsored by the Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy, and Penn Cinema Studies.
