Independence Seaport Museum is launching the Old City Seaport Festival, a weekend-long Festival with Tall Ships, live music, crafts, vendors and activities along the waterfront at Independence Seaport Museum. The Festival also features great food from some of Philly's food trucks and a beer garden area on the Museum's outdoor 2nd floor balcony to relax and enjoy some refreshments.

Old City Seaport Festival kicks off Friday, October 5th with a majestic parade of boats along Penn’s Landing and comes to a close with a bang when the Tall Ships take to the river for a pirate battle and sunset sail.

Tall ships confirmed for the Festival include the Pride of Baltimore II, NJ's official tall ship AJ Meerwald, Philadelphia's official tall ship Gazela and Kalmar Nyckel, Delaware's official tall ship. In addition, the schooners Summer Wind and Quintessence will be taking passengers for river tours throughout the festival (additional fee for river tours). The Philadelphia chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society will have dozens of classic boats on display both in and out of the water, which will be joined by visiting traditional craft from all over the east coast!

Tickets are required to gain access to the gated Festival area on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets include admission to the Seaport Museum, the historic ships, crafts, entertainment and deck tours of the tall ships. River tours aboard the tall ships are an additional ticket.

River tours: Some of the tall ships will be taking passengers for river tours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Space is limited and it is strongly encouraged to purchase river tour tickets in advance.
