Revolutionary Germantown Festival
October 6, 2012
Watch reenactments of the Battle of Germantown, General George Washington's failed attempt to liberate Philadelphia from British control in 1777, at noon and 3 pm. Other events will include a performance by the Give and Take Jugglers at 10:30 am, walking tours, interactive children's activites with the sites of Historic Germantown and a bell ringing ceremony at the Concord School & Upper Burying Ground. Visitors will also have an opportunity to meet football great Tra Thomas from 1-3 pm.
Tours will be available at the Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse, Cliveden, the Johnson House, the Concord School & Upper Burying Ground, Wyck, the Germantown White House and Historic RittenhouseTown.
