Have a Ball at ArtStart 2012

The Parent-Infant Center will hold its annual children’s art exhibition and silent auction fundraiser on October 18th, 2012. This year, ArtStart will be a masquerade ball featuring masks, elements of mystery, and plenty of fun. Over 200 people are expected to celebrate creativity and community, while supporting PIC’s Scholarship Fund, which makes a difference in the lives of young families who struggle with the cost of care.

Spend the evening admiring the works of PIC’s talented young artists when St. Andrews Chapel (next door to PIC) is “magically” transformed into a children’s art gallery showing finger painting, mixed-media collage, sculpture and so much more.

In addition to this exciting exhibit, you will enjoy wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres. This year features a dinner buffet generously donated by PIC Friend and owner of Beijing, Alex Yuen. There will be other culinary delights from West Philadelphia’s favorite restaurants and volunteer chefs. You don’t want to miss the desserts!

Guests will have the chance to bid on nearly 100 auction items. There will be original artwork by local artists up for auction. If you need to get away, bid on a week at the Jersey Shore, or a close-to-home overnight stay at some of Philadelphia’s finest hotels. You will also have the chance to experience all that Philadelphia has to offer with tickets to museums, great performances, and dining at some of the best restaurants in town.

Proceeds will benefit families in our community who without the support of PIC’s Scholarship Fund, may not be able to provide their children with the quality of care and learning that every child deserves.
