KIDS

Veterans Day Print Making Workshop (Ages 6-12)
November 12, 2012
Allison Zito
Artist and Teacher, Harcum College
We will celebrate Veterans Day in the gardens of the Morris Arboretum. In a beautiful outdoor setting students will create a drawing on a printing plate to produce a series of prints back in the classroom. Veterans Day is often celebrated as a day of service and giving thanks to those who have served our country. Students will produce a print to send to the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital and many to take home and share with their loved ones. This simple gift of giving will brighten the hearts and spirit of our local veterans and inspire imagination, pride, and good citizenship in our young people. All supplies are provided. Come dressed for the weather. In case of bad weather the class will be held indoors.
