Columbus Day at the Morris Arboretum: A Day of Discovery and Art (Ages 6-12)
October 8, 2012
Allison Zito
Artist and Teacher, Harcum College
While Columbus Day is a day off from school, at the Morris Arboretum it will be a day of discovery and investigation into our natural world. We will use the Arboretum map to chart a course for exploration into lesser known territories. The students will document their findings with drawings and then return to the classroom to bring them to life. They will use acrylic paint and exotic spices from the East to produce a Renaissance creation of their own design. All supplies are provided. Come dressed for the weather.
