CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Introduction to Horticultural Therapy
October 6, 2012
Peg Schofield, MA, HTR
Program Director, Horticulture Therapy Certificate Program, Temple University
This class will introduce participants to the therapeutic practice of horticultural therapy. Learn how to use plants and nature-related activities to provide stress-relieving, effective programs in a variety of health care, human service, and community gardening venues. Participants will experience the benefits and joys of this life-enhancing practice by creating horticultural therapy projects to take home. No horticulture experience is needed, just a love of nature and a desire to serve.
