Old City - New Song II
October 14, 2012
Our journey sets out from Philadelphia with a program featuring stunning new vocal works from the city’s current, gifted song composers alongside those Philadelphia founding fathers of song, Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, Steven Sondheim and more. Featuring two exciting world premieres; an ensemble by Thomas Lloyd on the words of Ben Franklin and a solo by Allen Krantz with text by Kerouac. Singers Kelly Bixby, Thomas Lloyd, Jarrett Ott, Suzanne DuPlantis, Randi Marrazzo and pianist Laura Ward.
