TOURS
Behind-the-Scenes Tours of the Entomology Collection
August 1-August 31, 2012
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University is celebrating its Bicentennial and offering behind-the-scenes tours of its world-renowned collections—normally open only to researchers. In August, visitors can take a 20-minute tour of the Entomology Collection. With nearly 4 million specimens, the collection is among the world’s most scientifically significant collections of its kind. See dazzling pinned insects in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors, and learn about the collection’s extraordinary history. Tickets may be purchased at the admissions desk on the day of the tour. Ages 8 and up.
