The Delaware Museum of Natural History’s “Summer of Space” continues with Star Parties on Friday, August 10th and 24th, inviting visitors to explore the night sky. These events are sure to be a cosmic experience so bring the whole family to gaze up at the stars and explore outer space without ever leaving the ground!

The Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomers and the Chester County Astronomical Society will be on-hand to assist in interpreting what visitors may see when looking through high-powered telescopes. In addition, the Smithsonian’s Andrew Johnston, exhibit curator for Earth from Space, will lead a tour of the exhibit and answer questions on August 10th, and Greg Weaver, observatory manager at the Mt. Cuba Astronomical Observatory, will discuss astronomy and how visitors can expand their knowledge of space on August 24th.
