Travel back in time to a once serene place where General Washington's Neshaminy Encampment of August 1777 will be reenacted, complete with soldiers of the Continental Army and camp followers. All areas of camp life will come alive with the sounds of muskets firing in the distance as the men strengthen their skills in military drills to continue the fight for independence.......

Hear 18th century music playing and observe demonstrations by crafters and artisans of the period, including blacksmithing, barrel making, open hearth cooking, woodworking, Scherenschnitte (paper cutting), basket weaving, spinning, folk art, corn husk activities, embroidery and lace making. Children will have the opportunity to play with 18th century games and toys, screen for artifacts and enjoy A Son of Liberty by Penn's Woods Puppet Theater (shows at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm). The Gift Shop will be open, and light refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission includes a tour of the Moland House (open from 10:30 am-3:30 pm), the Garden of Native Plants, Nature Trail and the Well House.

    Rain date: August 25th, 2012
