Kurt Braunohler, the star of IFC's new hit improv comedy game show Bunk will be joining Comedy Bang! Bang! LIVE as the opening act on the multi-city tour which comes to Philly's Trocadero on Thursday, August 9th.
A whip-smart comedian who Time Out NY hails as "One of the 50 Funniest" in all of Gotham, Kurt Braunohler also holds the title of "Comic To Watch" The NY Comedy Festival, was awarded "Best Male Stand Up" by ECNY, and crowned "Best Unscripted Host" by the New York Television Festival. Kurt has been doing comedy in NY for 10+ years and is Kristen Schaal's comedy/writing partner. Together they've hosted the wildly popular Hot Tub live comedy variety show every week for the past 7 yrs.
In addition to his new IFC series Bunk!, Kurt Braunohler can been seen (or heard) on TV in Bob's Burgers, Delocated, John Oliver Stand Up, The Heart She Holler, Comedy Central Presents, Jon Benjamin Has a Van, Assy McGee, and Human Giant. He was also featured on This American Life talking about his 13-year relationship Rumspringa.
Comedy Bang! Bang! LIVE stars Scott Aukerman and featuries Tim Heidecker and James Adomian.
