The Bucks County Foodshed Alliance is again hosting a series of farm evenings that introduces consumers to the local producers that put the freshest foods onto our tables via direct sales, CSAs, farmers’ markets, farm stands and other venues. BCFA is making a few slight changes to this year’s schedule to allow more time to see the farms’ features and to accommodate a visit to a local non-farm processing facility. The evening’s pot luck meal will run from 6pm to 7pm, with the tour to follow. Visitors are expected to bring a dish or beverages to share with others and their family’s own eating equipment and seating, and they are expected to carry out their own trash. Although the farm tours are free, donations to BCFA’s programs are encouraged. This educational and entertaining event is appropriate for school-aged children who are under an adult’s careful supervision. This month's program is a visit to the community gardens and the Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield, PA
