This is a scene-study acting class with the young actor in mind, taught by Benjamin Lloyd, MFA Yale School of Drama. He's looking for a class of between eight and twelve 15-20-year-olds to work on fun scenes and learn some great acting exercises during the summer. Scenes will be drawn from his favorite plays for young actors, plays he has been using in his classes for many years.

Classes will be divided into three sections: exercises the whole class will participate in, scene study, and discussion. Only students who can commit to the whole class should enroll; you learn as much from watching others as you do from working yourself. One or two missed classes can be tolerated, more than that cannot. Students should be ready and prepared to rehearse outside of class throughout the summer, and to read the entire play(s) their scene(s) is from, slowly and carefully. You may work on the same scene for the duration of the class. Scenes to be presented in class must be memorized and rehearsed prior to presentation.
