Carlos Núñez
October 3, 2012
An honorary member of the Chieftains on their Grammy-winning album Santiago, Carlos Núñez’s CDs have gone gold and platinum reaching one million. He’s also strengthened pan-Celtic bonds by collaborating with the likes of Sharon Shannon and the Waterboys’ Mike Scott. Playing Gaita (or Galician bagpipes), Carlos performs Celtic music with Latin passion and great showmanship. He’s considered one of the biggest artists in the international Celtic scene having the quality of a classical music virtuoso and the charisma of a rock star.
“...the Jimi Hendrix of the bagpipe.” - Billboard
“One of the world's most exciting, and most serious, musicians” - BBC
