F.Stokes announces the release of his new EP Love, Always. The 7-song disc is a collection of inspirational tunes recorded in Paris, Los Angeles, and Madison, WI. Different in sound but similar in message to the rest of his catalogue, the record is being described as “aspirational and optimistic.”

Born on the South Side of Chicago, Rodney “F.Stokes” Lucas was raised in Madison, WI, the eldest of six siblings growing up in a single-mother household characterized by frequent address changes and a stint at a homeless shelter. His music depicts the stark and brutal realities of the impoverished urban experience. Rather than capitalizing on the misconceptions of the modern black experience that dominate the hip-hop landscape, F.Stokes provides thoughtful insight into the plight of black men in our nation’s largest cities, his current residence of New York City.

Performing around the globe with the likes of Ghostface Killah, MC Hammer, The Cool Kids, Fashawn, Camp Lo, P.O.S. and currently on tour with Rev Run, F.Stokes reinterprets the thematic traditions of the soul and blues movements for a new generation of music fans through vivid imagery and skillful wordplay. Beneath F.Stokes’ undeniable talent as a lyricist, he is driven by a deep sense of responsibility to promote progress and compassion with his music.
