Celebrating their fortieth anniversary, The Nighthawks are a seminal band whose members included Jimmy Thackery and Warren Haynes and preceded many West Coast roots rockers such as Los Lobos and The Blasters. The Nighthawks are still fronted by founder/lead singer/harmonica player extraordinaire Mark Wenner and they played with many blues legends including Pinetop Perkins, Luther “Guitar Junior” Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Elvin Bishop, Muddy Waters plus rock pioneer Carl Perkins.
