Bernard Allison & Moreland & Arbuckle
July 6, 2012
Bernard Allison totes the same smokin’ six string shooter his late father Luther Allison assaulted the blues with and is blessed with his father’s soulful voice and spiritual devotion. The Chicago-born Bernard played lead for Koko Taylor’s Blues Machine and was in his father’s band, although he’s definitely blazing his own path with a style that reflects a unique mix of traditional and modern influences.
Guitarist Aaron Moreland and harpist/vocalist Dustin Arbuckle spent nearly a decade exploring the edges of American roots forging a relentless and haunting sound that merges Delta blues, folk, rock, traditional country and soul. They hit the road with ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Eric Johnson, including a sold out show right here in Sellersville!
