Come out to the annual Darby Creek cleanup at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge! This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, scouts, and community or business groups to provide a helping hand to clean Darby Creek and improve the environment for wildlife and ourselves. Call the refuge at 215-365-3118 to register or for more information.

Folks can meet at either the Visitor Center or at the Route 420 parking lot. Wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather, sturdy boots, and work gloves if you have them. Extra gloves and trash bags will be provided.

The cleanup activity will be followed at Noon by a free lunch and Earth Day displays and demonstrations. You've helped clean up the refuge, now check out some more ways you can help wildlife and their habitat. Visit the alternative energy exhibits and take home some simple ideas you can do every day to help out wildlife!
