Entering its fabulous 14th year of operation, Summer Stars is a unique program - instructing students in the basics in acting, singing and dance, while gearing the studies specifically to the proficiency level of each student. At the end of the course, students perform in full-length musical shows custom-written for the course, ensuring each student is performing material suitable to their level of talent.

The youngsters and the teens will perform separate full length musicals. The kids will take to the stage in Fact versus Fiction: Professsor Linmer (a.k.a. Merlin the Magician) is at it again -- casting a spell to bring literary characters to life. Everyone from Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn to Annie Sullivan from "The Miracle Worker" and other historical characters, such as Pocahontas, young Eleanor Roosevelt and Harriet Tubman meet for hilarity as egos clash. Adding to the dilemma: Some of the characters brought back are villains, who try to turn the literary heroes to the dark side! This musical combines wacky comedy with dramatic moments as well. Guaranteed to be educational and fun!

For the teens, it's All's Well -- Or Maybe Not - a musical comedy about "young love." When two popular couples split up, their friends rally to try and bring them back together (except for those who wanted the break-ups to happen in the first place!) Our storyline advances through good old rock 'n roll songs -- blasts from the '50s right through a few from modern times - with the emphasis on the music their parents and grandparents know and love.
