FWM: Solo exhibitions of three L.A. area artists Presented by Fabric Workshop and Museum at Fabric Workshop and Museum March 2- September 2, 2012

The Fabric Workshop and Museum (FWM) presents the solo exhibitions of three Los Angeles area artists: Mark Bradford, Jennifer Steinkamp, and Pae White, and Philadelphia photographer Carlos Avendaño. These exhibitions feature Mark Bradford’s large-scale, new wall installation, “Geppetto” that is collaged from newsprint; Jennifer Steinkamp’s vividly-colored, animated video-projections “The Death of the Moth,” which twist and vibrate as though propelled by some unseen force; and Pae White’s site-specific sculptural string-project “Summer XX” that encourages viewers to take a closer look at familiar materials and spaces; and a video collaboration between Mark Bradford and Carlos Avendaño: “2 Videos.”

Until June 17: “Soft Village: Studio Makkink & Bey,” the Dutch design collaborative led by architect Rianne Makkink and designer Jurgen Bey—one of the first Droog Design collaborators.
