The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown has selected Spring Valley Farm as the 37th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens for 2012. Spring Valley Farm is a former working farm, physician's residence and office, the 1850s Dutch Colonial home is set on 11 acres. Designers will enhance stately woodwork and fireplaces throughout the expansive home and landscapers will aim to bring color and elegance to many planting beds, brick patios, pool and bank barn.
Proceeds from the designer house and associated events contribute to the VIA's $1 million pledge to renovate the Birthing Center at Doylestown Hospital. The reconfigured center will have 10 labor and delivery suites and 20 private patient rooms, allowing families a quiet and personal environment to bond with their newborns.
