THEATRE
Race
November 9-November 24, 2012
Two law partners, one black and one white, find themselves defending a wealthy white executive charged with raping a young black woman. When a new, female, legal assistant gets involved in the case, individual opinions and prejudices that have been boiling beneath the surface explode into words. Dangerous truths are spoken, and no punches are spared in this provocative, intriguing, controversial, and brutally honest play. It’s a play that will long be remembered and discussed. It’s a play by a contemporary American playwright known for his masterful use of language. It’s a play about race.
