An Insect Collection: Pinning and Preserving

In this class for adults, you will learn why scientists collect bugs and butterflies, how to treat different kinds of insect specimens, and the uses of the specimens in research and education at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. After learning about the various methods of specimen pinning, you can try it yourself. Take your specimen home and start your own insect collection.
