    Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts officially turns 10 on Friday, December 16. To celebrate on December 16, the Kimmel Center will host a friends and family private event with Mayor Nutter, Kimmel Center President and CEO Anne Ewers, friends and family of the Kimmel Center, and a special performance by Peter Nero. The festivities continue December 17 to Jan. 1 with FREE AT THE KIMMEL 10th Anniversary Celebration, a series of free concerts open to the public in the Plaza.

     

    Mayor Nutter provides proclamation to Kimmel Center President and CEO Anne Ewers, declaring December 16th Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Day. Anne Ewers will also provide a toast to its eight resident companies, followed by a performance by Peter Nero.

     

    The Kimmel Center will also kick off its FREE AT THE KIMMEL 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, December 17th with two performances of the 10th Annual Tuba Christmas Celebration and Ukaladies free performances. The Free at the Kimmel Series concerts are open to the public and will continue through the New Year.
