Best known for his iconic work in MAD magazine since 1955, Jaffee's life is more than just cartoons. In this new biography Mad Life, written by Mary-Lou Weisman and illustrated by Jaffee himself, Jaffee's formative years reads like a comic strip with cliff-hangers: Jaffee was uprooted from his home in Savannah, GA by his mother when he was six years old and taken to a shtetl in Lithuania. Jaffee is rescued by his father only to be taken back again to Lithuania with Hitler on the rise. Jaffee will talk about his fascinating life and will be joined by his biographer Mary-Lou Weisman.
