It's been two years since the original members of The Once Was performed together. Frank Cervantes, Jason Luber, Josh Dowiak, and Troy Clark have been very busy collaborating with various artists and working on several different projects. On December 30, the four friends will reunite for a special performance dedicated to their family, fans, and the memory of their time together as a band.

Formed in 2007 and hailing from Moorestown, New Jersey, The Once Was is an eclectic four-piece indie rock band descending from the creative zealot that is the home recording studio. Collaborating existential lyrical themes with progressive indie-pop rhythms, the band brought an energetic and surprising live show to audiences and enthusiasts alike. Their first project was a short 5-song EP entitled Silence. Then in March of 2009 the band released their debut full-length album Post War Parade. Based on a shoestring budget leftover from local gigging, the band independently produced their album at Studio 4 in Philadelphia. Following the album's release, the band played a string of very successful shows in Philadelphia and California. In October of 2009, the band released an EP titled Rugged City. Since, the band has been on extended hiatus.
