MUSIC

Sam duPont and Gillian Grassie
December 23, 2011
Sam duPont is a 20-year-old singer songwriter based out of Tucson, Arizona. Although 20 may seem young, he has already played some of the most historic venues in the Mid-Atlantic songwriter scene like The Tin Angel in Philadelphia, PA, and The Bitter End in New York City.
This award-winning indie harpist/singer-songwriter has sold out shows from Philadelphia’s Tin Angel to The Matador in Siberia. More Regina Spektor than Joanna Newsom, Grassie delivers literary lyrics with an expressive, soulful soprano over a blend of jazz-inflected folk/pop that’s smart, accessible and completely captivating.
