Haddonfield Memorial High School Madrigal Singers
December 26, 2011
Location: Great Stair Hall
The highly regarded Haddonfield Memorial High School Madrigal Singers perform acapella music that originated in 16th-century Italy. Madrigals director Paula Meyer explained: "The music is difficult and sung in six different languages. It takes a great deal of skill and contains many different voice parts that are combined in a way that makes each interesting and independent. The group, which performs in vivid, jewel-toned Renaissance costumes, has sung at the White House—two performances in five years—and at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C."
