Music for a Winter's Eve
December 17, 2011
The Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble and the Concord Singers present Vivaldi's Gloria and other sacred and secular seasonal music. The twelve members of the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble perform on mandolin, mandola, mandocello, and classical guitar. The group's repertoire includes classical music (both music written for the mandolin, as well music transcribed for mandolin) and traditional folk music from across the globe. Three of the ensemble's members arrange music for the group. Joe Todaro is the founder and conductor of the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble.
