Close your eyes and imagine yourself on a December day, walking beneath the old, majestic trees of the Joseph Sim's estate, Laurel Hill, now the North section of the cemetery. You may see the Victorian Era as a time of propriety and manners and indeed, there are many floating cherubs and even a marriage bed. But that is where your walk on the tamer side ends. This tour explores unanswered questions, quirky places and strange stories including the Billy the Kid Outlaw Wars, 918 human skulls and plenty of marble women. Think about this old saying—The first generation makes the money, the second spends it and the third loses it. Did we mention the Taliban and Al-Qaeda? If you think you know the Victorians, you have no idea.
