    Olivier Zunz, a University of Virginia professor, will speak about his new book"Philanthropy in America: A History." His lecture will focus on the role played by the du Pont family in developing modern philanthropy, especially during the Great Depression. He will discuss how the du Ponts mobilized local resources, including their own, to stem economic decline.
