The Philadelphia Art Alliance is pleased to announce the return of musicologist Fred Miller for his popular Lectures-in-Song series. This month, Miller explores the life and music of Fred Astaire, a musical theater and film giant, named the fifth Greatest Male Star of All Time by the American Film Institute. Long regarded as a master of dance, Astaire has been acknowledged as the equal of any male interpreter of song, quoting Irving Berlin, "as good as Jolson, Crosby or Sinatra."
