Stonethrown
October 14, 2011
Since their inception in 2006, Stonethrown have accomplished many of their goals. They have performed over 500 shows to date, including sold out shows at the internationally renowned World Cafe Live and The Trocadero in Philadelphia, Pa.
The band has also generated income from international sales of their debut record, "Where You Stand." They possess a relentless DIY (Do It Yourself) spirit and promote their music with the same passion that drives their songwriting and live performances. As a result, they've generated a buzz that has allowed them to appear on national FM radio stations 93.3 WMMR, 94.1 WYSP, 104.5 WRFF, and 98.1 WOCM. Said radio stations have played and still play some of Stonethrown's music on air.
"When going to see Stonethrown live, one can expect to experience a dynamic show. Their songs range from hard hitting Pop-Punk, bittersweet epic Alternative Rock, tender jazz folk ballads, and classical bluesy progressive rock which all pay tribute to british and american rock influences Muse, My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Foo Fighters and Travis."
