Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival Presents: My So-Called Enemy
November 17, 2011
In 2002, twenty-two Palestinian, Israeli, and Palestinian-Israeli teenage girls traveled to the United States to participate in the women’s leadership program, Building Bridges for Peace. My So-Called Enemy documents the drama of their experience, and then follows six of the girls over the next seven years of their lives, revealing how knowing their “enemies” as human beings fares with the realities of living in the Middle East.
In Arabic, English and Hebrew with English subtitles.
Afer the film, the audience is invited for a Peace Meal: A facilitated group discussion led by Melodye Feldman, founder of Seeking Common Ground and the Building Bridges for Peace program, over a dinner of Middle Eastern food from the acclaimed Israeli restaurant Zahav
