After a long-time business partner passes away, Yaakov Fidelman (The Band's Visit), an aging recluse and owner of an antique restoration shop, faces some tough choices. Despite his son Noah’s wish to replace his failing business with a promising new real estate venture, Fidelman chooses to fight for his shop’s survival by enlisting help from his young apprentice, Anton. While Fidelman and Anton develop a deeper relationship than Noah could have ever hoped to achieve with his own father, more than words are exchanged between Anton and Noah’s very pregnant wife, Hava (Sarah Adler). Nominated for eleven Israeli Oscars, Restoration is a gripping tale of generational strife and intricate romantic relations. Yossi Madmoni’s first feature won him Best Script at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival; Best Feature at the 2011 Karlovy Vary Film Festival; and Best Feature at the 2011 Jerusalem Film Festival, where the jury noted the film for "its exploration of fatherhood in its many manifestations—tender, angry and finally hopeful—in a highly original and moving context."

    In Hebrew with English subtitles.
