    Known the world over as an iconic symbol of Europe's prehistoric past, Stonehenge has a truly exceptional history. Combining archeological evidence, oral tradition, and folklore, Professor Timothy Darvill of Bournemouth University, UK, traces Stonehenge's transformation from a conventional ceremonial structure to a destination for prehistoric pilgrims seeking its magical healing properties.
