Tea and a Teaching: Foundations of Buddhism with Losang Samten, Rinpoche
October 9-November 27, 2011
Tibetan Buddhists love their numbers. Six this, eight that, 86,000 something else—like Temple Owls, numbers and sets are everywhere in the teachings. In a first for the center, before regular Sunday morning meditation practice, doors will be open for a series of six one-hour Sunday classes on some of the most fundamental and profound teachings in Buddhist thought and practice.
The morning light is especially beautiful and rich in the space. Tea and refreshments will be provided. There willl be a short break before starting regular meditation practice from around 10 to 12 noon, always so wonderful. These promise to be special Sundays.
