Science on Tap is a monthly science café in Philadelphia for anyone who is interested in getting together with other people to discuss a range of engaging science topics.

Over the course of three field seasons in Argentina, a multi-organization team excavated a super-massive dinosaur fossil that lived 66 million years ago. The fossil preparation process for its 400 bones began in August 2010 and continues today in the Academy of Natural Sciences’ Fossil Prep Lab, in partnership with Drexel University's Dr. Ken Lacovara. At this Science On Tap, Fossitl Prep Lab Manager Jason C. Poole will discuss what a dig is like, how the fossils got to the Academy, and what happens next.

Science on Tap is sponsored by a consortium of five Philadelphia institutions: the Academy of Natural Sciences, American Philosophical Society Museum, Chemical Heritage Foundation, Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and the Wagner Free Institute of Science.
