THEATRE

Beaut
November 14-November 15, 2011
Innovative Philadelphia theater artists Thomas Choinacky and John Jarboe (aka UnicornUnicorn) create two one-man shows woven into one unique theatrical experience. Separated by a thin cloth, they relate their similar experiences growing up gay in Catholic Midwest households. Their tales interweave, allowing the audience to experience both their individual stories and their shared experiences. Finding inspiration in B.H. Fairchild’s poem Beauty, both men attempt to come to terms with themselves as gay artists while tackling the relationships between father and son, forgiveness and the forbidden.
