Nosferatu 2011- A Live Film Score
October 15, 2011
“Is that your wife? What a lovely neck!”
-Count Orlok
This Halloween, you're invited to see the world's first vampire film, Nosferatu, screened with an original score played live by a quintet of fabulous musicians from all four corners of the Philly music scene (Klezmer, Tango, Jazz, Balkan, Classical, Avant-Garde, etc.) Brendan Cooney’s original score is heavy in Gypsy and Klezmer motifs, dramatic horror-camp effects, avant-garde textures, and classical devices. Scored for clarinet, violin, accordion, piano and bass, it is an experience not to be missed.
