Magnificent Masters: Beethoven and Bizet
September 24, 2011
The Kennett Symphony season opener features two pieces from Beethoven’s “Heroic” decade: his impassioned Overture to Egmont, and his magnificent affirmation in time of war, the Emperor Concerto, played by West Chester University’s extraordinary Igor Resnianski. Bizet’s youthful masterpiece rounds out the program. What better way to introduce a great new venue?
