Black Lace Freudian Slip Tour features Rene Marie (vocals), Kevin Bales (piano), Kevin Hamilton(bass) and Quentin Baxter (drums). René Marie is an award-winning singer whose style incorporates elements of jazz, soul, blues and gospel. Her latest release, Voices of My Beautiful Country, is an ambitious celebration of Americana and the cultural diversity of these United States, spanning Motown to Tin Pan Alley to “America The Beautiful.” Interpretations of material ranging from Dave Brubeck’s jazz jaunt, “Strange Meadow Lark” to “Drift Away,” (Dobie Gray), “Just My Imagination” (The Temptations), “White Rabbit” (Jefferson Airplane) and traditional folk standards “John Henry” and “O Shenandoah” weave the story of America. The hard working artist will release her second album of 2011, Black Lace Freudian Slip, this fall.

A Conversation with Rene Marie available from 6:45-7:15 pm ($10)

Relax in good company while enjoying great wine provided by Auburn Road Wineyard and Winery and savory cheeses provided by The New Dodge’s Market  from 6:30-7:30 pm.
