The quintessential American quartet, the Juilliard celebrates its 65th season in 2011-12, their first with dynamic new first violinist Joseph Lin. The Juilliard’s many honors include four Grammy Awards and membership in the Hall of Fame of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. For their second of two appearances this season, the legendary group performs Mozart’s A Major Quartet alongside Stravinsky’s thorny Three Pieces for Quartet and Janacek’s Tolstoy-inspired Quartet No. 1.
