Blasters Founder & Grammy award winning singer-songwriter-guitarist Dave Alvin has been a constant force in traditional American roots music for over 25 years. Forming the Blasters with his brother Phil Alvin, Dave penned most of their earliest hits & played lead on the classics “American Music”, “Border Radio” & “I’m Shakin’”; he also had stints with punk-folkies X & The Knitters and released critically acclaimed solo projects. Dave’s songs have been recorded by Los Lobos, Buckwheat Zydeco, Robert Earl Kean, Dwight Yoakam, and Little Milton among others! “…Alvin fills his 11th album with small towns, highways and losers we imagine he’s encountered on countless tours. Though Alvin has often switched between electric and acoustic, almost everything here is plugged in – above all Alvin, an under recognized guitar hero.” - Rolling Stone
