OUTDOORS

Goldenrod Zoo
October 1, 2011
Goldenrods seem to be magnets for a huge variety of insects, from flower visitors and pollinators to gall makers, not to mention the parasites and predators that feed on the former. The fall is a good season to observe many of the hundreds of species that visit goldenrods and to see some of their handiwork. Join Beatriz Moisset, for a presentation of the most common and interesting goldenrod fauna, followed by a walk to the goldenrod patch to observe them with your own eyes.
