CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble
September 12-December 12, 2011
Following its successful second year, The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble invites musicians and singers to join the 2011-2012 season! The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble—led by music director and violin virtuoso Hanna Khoury—is a project of Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture. The Ensemble learns and performs a repertoire of classical Arab music. Participation is open to singers and percussionists of all levels and to intermediate to advanced musicians playing strings or wind instruments (6th-12th graders, college students, and older). Group instruction is on Mondays at the UPenn Music Department.
