World renowned soprano Julianne Baird joins Piffaro in a double celebration. of Jewish and Christian seasonal music from early 17th century Germany and Italy. Piffaro’s dedication to Early Music education as honored by its recent Lifetime Achievement Award from Early Music America will be celebrated with a young guest, Bryan Duerfeldt, winner of Piffaro’s 2011 National Recorder Competition. Bryan will join Piffaro’s exploration of the works of Jewish composer Salamone Rossi, showcasing the breadth of Renaissance repertoire.
